Step 1 – Exterior Preparation
Preparation is one of the most important stages of any exterior decorating project. Before painting began, all surfaces were checked and prepared to ensure strong adhesion and a long-lasting finish.
This included:
- Cleaning and preparing rendered surfaces
- Protecting surrounding areas and exterior features
- Careful preparation around window frames and soffits
- Checking for any minor surface imperfections before coating
At D&B Decorating, we believe the quality of the final result always comes down to the preparation work carried out beforehand.
Step 2 – Application of Weathershield Coating
To provide long-term durability and protection against the coastal weather conditions in Paignton, we applied two full coats of Weathershield exterior paint to the property.
Areas completed included:
- Full exterior rendered walls
- Window sills
- Soffits and exterior trim
The lighter colour scheme instantly brightened the property and gave the home a much cleaner, more modern appearance while maintaining a professional, uniform finish throughout.
Step 3 – Efficient Turnaround & Attention to Detail
Despite the size of the property and the amount of exterior surface area involved, the entire project was completed within just 3 days.
Dan remained punctual, friendly, and communicative throughout the process, ensuring the homeowners always knew how the project was progressing.
No corners were cut at any stage, with every elevation receiving the same level of care and attention to detail.
